ATLANTA, December 17, 2011 –  Hagedorn Foundation Gallery is please to present “Camouflage” a two-part exhibition by photographers Kristine Potter and Jeremy Chandler. Both photographers deal with the male’s mythological role in society, based on historically tough, unemotional performance and appearance. Using the soldier and the hunter as their subjects, Potter and Chandler raise questions about the male profile. The objects of each photographer’s lens appear vulnerable and thoughtful, not active, assertive or particularly powerful.

Kristine Potter lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from the University of Georgia with degrees in Art History and Photography and received her MFA from Yale in 2005.  She has had solo shows at Daniel Cooney Fine Art, NY, Romo Gallery, Atlanta, Gigantic Art Space, NY, Rocket Projects, Miami, and L’Eclat du Verre, Paris. Her work has been included in many group exhibitions across the southeast as well as shows in New York and Connecticut.

Jeremy Chandler lives and works in Tampa, FL. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Photography and went on to receive his MFA in 2009. His one-person exhibitions include shows at the American Institute of Architects Gallery, Atlantic Center for the Arts’ Harris House Gallery, and Satchel’s Gallery. His many group exhibitions include a range in shows from Florida to New York and Washington, DC, as well as inclusion in Art Basel Miami 2010.
